U15 RockFest West
The U15 RockFest is one-of-a-kind program that offers young athletes under 15 the chance to hone their skills and compete in various singles and triples curling formats against peers from neighboring provinces and territories.
The event aims to provide young curlers with the skills necessary to become well-rounded players in all aspects of strategy and technical development and acquire the tools needed to achieve their maximum potential, whether they pursue a competitive path in the sport or play recreationally.

Who: Athletes born in 2012-2015 (Aged 11-14 as of Dec 31, 2026)
Curlers and their guardians are responsible for the costs of attending the event.

How can I qualify?

12 female and 12 male athletes aged 11-14 (as of June 30, 2025) will qualify for RockFest 2026. 4 in each gender will qualify at each Regional Qualifier, and 4 through the Skills App.
There are two ways to qualify:
1. Attend a regional qualifier event
QUALIFIER 1
Where: Richmond Curling Club
When: January 2, 2027
Times: 9:00 – 3:00 pm
Cost: $55 (includes lunch)

Where: Vernon Curling Club
When: January 23, 2027

Curlers can register for one or both of the regional qualifiers, in which up to 4 male and 4 female athletes (in each qualifier) can directly qualify for RockFest.
These regional qualifiers are 2 hour blocks where coaches and volunteers will help curlers complete the singles skills shots. Curlers may bring a coach onto the ice and assist with the scoring, but it is not a requirement.
If curlers do not qualify directly at the qualifiers, the scores obtained there can be used on the Skills App as a second attempt at qualifying.
2. Submit scores on the Curling Canada Skills App from November 1, 2026 to Marth 7th, 2027
- Download the free Curling Canada “Skills Curling” app (Apple iOS | Android). New updated Skills App will be available for download by Nov 1, 2025. Click here for more information.
- Parent or guardian of curler creates a profile
- Curler creates a profile with their parent/guardian
- Curler connects with a coach with an NCCP number. This requires approval from parent/guardian.
- Complete the U15 skills shots. After the 12 shots (with 2 mulligans) are completed, the coach can submit the scores. A minimum score of 10 out of 36 is required to qualify for Rockfest West.
