Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games

February 25 – March 1, 2026

Curling is one of many sports included in the BC Winter Games to provide our U16 youth athletes with an opportunity to experience multi-sport competition.

Curl BC will support the development of athletes and coaches leading up to and during the event. All athletes, team coach(es), adult supervisors (if applicable), are required to stay in BC Winter Games accommodation for the entirety of the Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games

Player Eligibility

Please carefully read the rules for player eligibility for the BC Winter Games to ensure the athlete is eligible to play.

Age

Minimum age is 13 as of June 30, 2025 and 15 years of age or under as of June 30, 2025. Teams may have one underage player on a team (must be 11 as of June 30, 2025). If a zone requires more than one underage players to fill a team, then written approval from the Provincial Advisor is required.

Age eligible athletes beyond this 2026 BC Winter Games cycle will be eligible to play in only one BC Winter Games for curling. Underage athletes approved to play in the 2026 BC Winter Games will be exempt of this new rule and will still be eligible for the 2028 BC Winter Games.

Past Podiuming

Athletes who qualified for a U18 and/or a U20 Curling Provincial Championship in a previous season, and reached the podium, are ineligible to attend the BC Winter Games.

Helmet Protocols

All individuals under the age of 12 must wear appropriate head protection for all Curl BC Events. For more information read the full policy here (SAFE-4 of the Policy Registry) for a list of eligible head protection products.

  • Travel to the BC Games will happen on Wednesday February 25, 2026. Locations and travel itinerary’s will be emailed to each participant through the BC Games Administration.
  • Travel Home from the BC Games will be on Sunday March 1, 2026 (there are no Games on March 1).
  • Bus and meal schedule – shared internally with team coaches.

Everything you need to prepare for the BC Games

Prior to each BC Winter and BC Summer Games, in-person and online Guide to the Games (G2G) sessions will be offered for athletes, coaches, officials, and parents to provide an overview of what to expect at the Games.

These sessions provide an opportunity for the development of athletes, coaches, and officials in preparation for higher levels of competition, and the multi-sport environment helps promote interest and participation in sport and activity, individual achievement, and community development.

All BC Games Participants must complete the registration form below. Please ensure your information is correct as these will be the details used for your travel documents (Bus and flights). Each participant (Athlete, Coach, Assistant Coach, Adult Supervisor, Official, etc) must use a unique email. Your travel documents will be send to this email address.

When filling out the form you must select one of the two options for Pick up/ Drop off. Participants may select “own travel” where you will be responsible to get to and from the games. There is no option for out of games accommodations for athletes.

To complete registration the form must be filled out and submitted for each participant and the payment link must be paid for each athlete. Coaches, and Adult Supervisors must have completed Safe Sport within the last 3 years and have a valid criminal record check on file (links below).

TEAM MAKEUP – You are permitted to register up to 5 athletes, 1 Head Coach (Competition Coach Certified), 1 Assistant Coach and 1 Adult Supervisor. The minimum would be 4 athletes and 1 Head Coach. If the Head Coach is not staying in Games Accommodation or the Head Coach does not match the gender of the athletes you must add an assistant Coach or Adult Supervisor of the same Gender (for travel and accommodation chaperone purposes).

Each Athlete, Coach, Assistant Coach, and Adult Supervisor when they fill out the BC Games Registration information will be asked what Zone Hoodie Size they want. The athletes and Head coach have their Zone hoodie costs covered with the BC Games Fees, if you would like an extra for your Adult Supervisor or Assistant Coach please see the payment link below.

Zone Hoodies can be worn in replacement of team uniform’s on the ice.
