U15 RockFest West
at Montana’s Brier – Kelowna 2025
The U15 RockFest is one-of-a-kind program that offers young athletes under 15 the chance to hone their skills and compete in various singles and triples curling formats against peers from neighboring provinces and territories.
The event aims to provide young curlers with the skills necessary to become well-rounded players in all aspects of strategy and technical development and acquire the tools needed to achieve their maximum potential, whether they pursue a competitive path in the sport or play recreationally.
Coaches, Junior Program Coordinators, and Curling Club Representatives are encouraged to attend the Curling Canada Webinar on Rockfest on November 19. Click here to register here.
Where: Kelowna Curling Club | Kelowna, BC
When: February 27 – March 1, 2025
Who: Youth curlers aged 11-14 years as of June 30, 2024 are eligible to qualify. 30 male and 30 female spots are available for BC.

Curlers and their guardians are responsible for the costs of attending the event in Kelowna.
How can I qualify?
30 female and 30 male athletes aged 11-14 (as of June 30, 2024) will qualify for RockFest 2025.
If qualified, Curling Canada charges a $75.00 entry fee, and the curlers and their guardians are responsible for their travel costs.
There are two ways to qualify:
1. Submit scores on the Curling Canada Singles App before January 27, 2025
Step 1: Download the free Curling Canada “Singles Curling” app (Apple iOS | Android). Click here to watch a tutorial video on how to navigate the app.
Step 2: Parent or guardian of curler creates a profile
Step 3: Curler creates a profile with their parent/guardian
Step 4: Curler connects with a coach with an NCCP number. This requires approval from parent/guardian.
Step 5: Complete the U15 skills shots. After the 12 shots (with 2 mulligans) are completed, the coach can submit the scores. A minimum score of 10 out of 36 is required to qualify for Rockfest West.
2. Attend a regional qualifier event
Curlers can register for one of the two regional qualifiers, in which up to 8 male and 8 female athletes (in each qualifier) can directly qualify for RockFest 2025.
These regional qualifiers are 2 hour blocks where coaches and volunteers will help curlers complete the singles skills shots. Curlers may bring a coach onto the ice and assist with the scoring, but it is not a requirement. A minimum score of 10 out of 36 is required to qualify.
If curlers do not qualify directly at the qualifiers, the scores obtained there can be used on the Singles App as a second attempt at qualifying.
