Vision 2024
Vision 2024 updates the strategic directions supported by the Board in its governance of Curl BC and embraced by management and staff in the day-to-day operations of the organization.
As the name suggests, it is a “vision-based” approach to strategy and is rooted in the mantra, mission and vision of Curl BC.
Vision 2024 sets the parameters for the operating business plans for Curl BC in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Curl BC’s mission statement “Striving to support clubs throughout British Columbia, Curl BC continuously advances participation, competition and performance excellence in curling as an active, fun and social sport for life” is the global “end” (aspirational outcome) of the strategic plan. A further nine ends, described below, gives us a 10-end strategic plan.
The ends are all located under three strategic pillars:
