Gordon Hooey Memorial Scholarship Fund
For the advancement of the sport of curling through the development of athletes and coaches.
The Gordon Hooey scholarship fund is administered through the Victoria Foundation in perpetuity. Ideally, it will go to juniors interested in becoming coaches, but it could also support the post-secondary education of juniors who have demonstrated a commitment to becoming top-level curlers and who show leadership skills in their communities.
It is not given as cash grants, but goes directly to the Canadian institution or organization to which the applicants are applying.
Applications must be received at the Curl BC office, to the attention of the Awards Committee, no later than midnight (PST) on January 31 annually.

All applications must include: 2 references (1 from someone who knows you through curling), proof of acceptance or registration at a post secondary institution, and a cover letter. PCMCA Scholarship
The PCMCA Scholarship, funded by the Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association, awards $1,000 annually to young curlers in Canada who show leadership and athletic skills that benefit the sport of curling. This scholarship, established in 2023, is open to PCMCA’s Zone 1 to 4 curlers, who are attending college, university, or trade schools in Canada.

Richards Junior Curling Scholarship
The Richards Junior Curling Scholarship, awarded in the amount of $500, is open to all under-21 curlers in BC who are looking to continue curling at the post-secondary level. It opens annually on January 1st, and closes at midnight on March 31st.

For the Love of Curling Scholarship Program
Curling Canada’s For the Love of Curling Scholarships are awarded to student-athletes enrolled in post-secondary institutions across Canada who have demonstrated achievements in both curling and academics, as well as community involvement.

Camosun College Foundation
The Canadian Senior Men’s and Ladies’ Championships, 1991 Bursary provides support for residents of BC who are enrolled full-time at Camosun College in Victoria. Consideration is given to students who maintain satisfactory academic standing, have financial need, are passionate about the sport of curling and who either play, volunteer or are a member of a curling club in BC.
Applications are made through the Financial Aid office at Camosun College during two assigned time frames posted on the Financial Aid website www.camosun.ca
