World Curling Federation Announces Mixed Doubles Rule Change for 2026/27 Season

Mixed Doubles Placing Points Updated
The World Curling Federation has announced changes to the Mixed Doubles Placing Points for the 2026/27 season. Curling Canada has shared this information in advance so clubs can incorporate the update before the start of the new season.

2026/27 Rule Book Coming in September
The updated World Curling Federation Rule Book for the 2026/27 season is expected to be released during the week of September 7.
Once published, Curling Canada will officially adopt the World Curling Federation Rule Book for the 2026/27 season. Going forward, Curling Canada will no longer publish or maintain a separate rule book.
Event Overview Update
Following the release of the new rules, Curling Canada’s Executive Chief Umpire, Brett Waldroff, will update the Event Overview document that was distributed last fall to reflect any rule changes for the upcoming season.
The revised Event Overview is expected to be circulated by the first week of October.
