Loken/Tanaka Capture BC Mixed Doubles Title in Abbotsford
The 2025/26 BC Mixed Doubles Curling Championship took place January 16–18, 2026, at the Abbotsford Curling Club, featuring top mixed doubles teams from across the province.
Cody Tanaka and Sarah Loken claimed the provincial championship and will represent British Columbia at the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, scheduled for March 21–27, 2026. The national championship will be hosted in BC at the Cloverdale Curling Club. The win marked Cody Tanaka’s second provincial title of the month, following his victory as skip at the BC Men’s Championship.
Matthew Fenton and Layna Pohlod earned the silver medals after a strong performance throughout the weekend..
Shawna Jensen and Nicholas Meister completed the podium with bronze.
The Fair Play Award was presented to Allie Bourne, recognizing outstanding sportsmanship during the championship.
Curl BC extends its thanks to the Abbotsford Curling Club for hosting, as well as the officials, volunteers, and athletes whose efforts contributed to a successful and competitive event.
