For young curlers dreaming big, the Canada Winter Games is one of the most meaningful competitive experiences available in youth sport. It’s a chance to test your skills against the country’s best, grow as an athlete, and be part of something truly unforgettable.
Representing Team BC opens the door to a high-performance pathway designed to help athletes thrive. Those who qualify for the 2027 Games will join the 2026/27 Curl BC High Performance Program, gaining access to:
- Tailored Yearly Training Plan (YTP)
- On-ice individual and team training plans
- Individualized Strength & Conditioning program
- Mental Performance Coaching
- Participation in specialized training camps
- Access to Curling Canada high-performance resources
- Provincial Carding nomination consideration
- Regional Performance Centre (RPC) access
It’s a comprehensive support system created to help young curlers build confidence, sharpen their skills, and take the next step in their curling journey.

Because it was a multi-sport event, being part of the broader Team BC gave us the unique opportunity to connect with athletes from a wide range of sports—an experience unlike any other national championship. We truly cherish our experience at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, and being back in the city now for the Olympic Trials feels like a walk down memory lane.”

How to Qualify for Team BC
The Men’s and Women’s U18 4-Person Qualifier will take place:
📍 January 22–25, 2026
📌 Chilliwack Curling Club
One men’s team and one women’s team will earn the opportunity to represent British Columbia at the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec (February 26–March 15, 2027).
Important:
Athletes who qualify in the 4-Person category will not be eligible to compete in the Mixed Doubles category.
