BC U18 and Wheelchair Champions Crowned in Richmond
The 2025/26 BC Under-18 Curling Championships and BC Wheelchair Curling Championship wrapped up on December 22, 2025, at the Richmond Curling Club, showcasing five days of high-level competition, resilience, and sportsmanship from athletes across the province.
U18 Boys: Team Reynolds Completes Remarkable Comeback
In the U18 Boys division, Team Reynolds from the Kimberley Curling Club claimed the provincial title after an impressive rebound from an opening-round loss.
Team Reynolds dropped their first game 5–6 to Team Wong, but responded with determination, winning every remaining game. Their championship run was capped off with a dominant 9–0 victory over Team Jaeger in the final.

As BC qualifies one boys team for nationals, Team Reynolds will represent the province at the 2026 Canadian Under-18 Curling Championships, February 8–14, 2026, in Timmins, Ontario.
U18 Girls: Team Rempel Goes Undefeated
The U18 Girls championship saw a flawless performance from Team Rempel, who went undefeated throughout the competition and captured the provincial crown in convincing fashion.
Team Rempel defeated Team Wu twice during the event, including the final. With BC qualifying two girls teams for nationals, Team Wu also secured a berth despite finishing with silver.

Team Rempel and Team Wu will both represent BC at the 2026 Canadian Under-18 Curling Championships in Timmins, ON.
Wheelchair Curling: Team Smithies Wins Gary Cormack Cup
In the BC Wheelchair Curling Championship, Team Smithies captured the Gary Cormack BC Wheelchair Curling Cup, winning both games against the Victoria Islanders.
The championship trophy is named in honour of Gary Cormack, a Paralympic champion and pioneer of wheelchair curling in Canada, who sadly passed away in 2024.
