2026 Sweepers Cup
Ten Vancouver Island curling clubs are teaming up to present the 2026 Sweepers Cup Cash Spiel, taking place March 19–22, 2026 at the Duncan Curling Club.
This exciting new event features a $20,000 prize purse and brings together the top men’s and women’s teams from across Vancouver Island.
How to Qualify
There is no direct entry fee for the Sweepers Cup. To earn a spot, teams must qualify by competing in one of the 21 men’s and women’s bonspiels held across the Island — creating a true Curling Trail from Victoria to Port Hardy.

Women’s Teams: 10 qualifying events

Men’s Teams: 11 qualifying events
Each bonspiel winner earns a direct berth into the Sweepers Cup. If a winning team has already qualified, the berth will go to the A Event runner-up.
Wildcard Entries
In addition to bonspiel winners, several wildcard spots are available:

Women’s side: 6 wildcard berths

Men’s side: 5 wildcard berths
Teams earn wildcard points by playing in qualifying bonspiels — the better the finish, the more points earned. Points accumulate across events, so playing in multiple bonspiels increases your chances. The top teams on the points list will claim the wildcard spots.

A total of 16 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams will compete in the 2026 Sweepers Cup.
