Join us in celebrating our High Performance Director & Coach Melissa Soligo, as she is honoured with the prestigious In Her Footsteps…Celebrating BC Women in Sport recognition program, presented by ProMOTION Plus and Sport BC.

“I am incredibly honoured to receive the award. When my athletic career ended suddenly, I began to focus on other aspects of sport, like coaching and leadership. I have been very fortunate to have amazing female mentors who have paved the way before me. And it has always been a dream of mine to leave a legacy for others to continue to foster development in sport. So receiving this award has helped me realize that dreams do come true!” – Melissa Soligo.

The purpose of In Her Footsteps…Celebrating BC Women in Sport is to name and honour women who have made a significant contribution to sport in BC.

The honourees are celebrated at Sport BC’s Annual Athlete of the Year Awards and are featured at the In Her Footsteps…Celebrating BC Women in Sport Exhibit at the BC Sports Hall of Fame.
