2 Day Course
The Head Ice Technician Program is intended for those who are looking for a career in ice making. They will learn the skills of installing, maintaining, and removing ice in a dedicated curling facility for all curling events and activities. At the completion of this course the participants will be considered “Head Ice Technician- TRAINED” status.

Now that you’re a Trained Head Ice Technician you are 3 steps away from certification.
Ice technicians play a role to protect individuals from maltreatment in sport within the sport environment. It is expected that Ice Technicians have a strong understanding of issues surrounding Safe Sport to be equipped to act in the event of witnessing maltreatment and upholding all policies and procedures to protect themselves and those they serve.

Ice Technicians will have their skills evaluated in order to become certified. Individuals have the option of an in-person or video evaluation.
