About the BCJCT
Objectives of the BCJCT Ranking System
- Provide meaningful competition at the U18 and U20 level to promote the development of junior curlers in BC.
- Create a cohesive junior curling tour that aligns with the LTCD and that supports proper periodization of the Yearly Training Plan.
- Enhance the knowledge of the curling tour system to support the transition into elite men’s & women’s.
Points System Overview
Points System Overview
The BC JCT Ranking System is modeled after the World Curling Tour (WCT) Ranking System, where a strength-of-field multiplier reflects both the caliber and number of teams in an event.
Since this is the first year of the BCJCT system, the multiplier is based only on the number of teams entered. In the 2026/27 season, team rankings will also be included in the calculation of the strength-of-field multiplier.
