Final Stretch of the Season! – CEO Message

February 27, 2025

It’s an exciting time for curling in BC with the 2025 Montana’s Brier being held at Kelowna’s Prospera Place this week! A big thank you to the Organizing Committee, volunteers and staff from Kelowna Curling Club and surrounding curling clubs for all their work with Curling Canada, the City of Kelowna and Tourism Kelowna to make this a fantastic event for all involved. And even if you won’t be attending, you can still support the Okanagan curling community by purchasing 50/50 tickets available daily at the following link: curlbc.ca/2025-brier-50-50/.

Speaking of 50/50s, this season’s sales for Curl BC’s monthly draws have already passed $175,000 with $65,000 raised for Curl BC member facilities (Click here to read the current tally of funds raised for each member facility). The final draw will be held at 12:00 noon, March 15th so please help your club and push the jackpot past $50,000. Tickets are available at this link: rafflebox.ca/raffle/curl-bc.

Good curling to the following BC curlers in March:

  • Team de Jong at the 2025 Montana’s Brier in Kelowna
  • Ina Forrest, part of BC Champions Team Austgarden, representing Canada in the 2025 World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Stevenston, Scotland
  • Team Jackson/McCrady at the 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship in Summerside, PEI
  • Teams Hafeli, Hrynew and Parkinson at the 2025 New Holland Canadian U20 Championships also in Summerside

All the best for a great finish to your 2024/25 curling season.
