Exciting Month Ahead! – CEO Message
February 03, 2025
What a great BC Men’s & Women’s Championships we just experienced in Langley with a wonderful, groundbreaking month ahead of us.
From January 21st to 26th, the BC Men’s & Women’s, presented by Best Western, was held in the George Preston Arena in the Township of Langley.
- This was an amazing event thanks to the wonderful Langley CC Host Committee and the Curl BC team of volunteers and staff. Almost all games were streamed by Curling Stadium with the final 4 games broadcast on CHEK TV and CBC.ca.
- Please see the wrap-up article, including a link to many excellent pictures of the athletes and coaches.
Coming up in February, it will be non-stop events:
- On the 9th, Invictus Games 2025 will include a wheelchair curling event for the first time. The event will be hosted at the Vancouver Curling Club and will feature teams from up to 23 countries.
- Five BC Championships will be held:
- 5th to 9th: BC Stick, Barriere CC
- 19th to 23rd: BC Masters, Golden Ears WC
- 22nd to 23rd: BC Wheelchair, Delta Thistle CC
- 26th to 1st: BC High School, Kimberley CC
- 26th to 2nd: BC Club, Cranbrook CC
- Best of luck to everyone competing and thanks very much to all these clubs for hosting.
- And last, but certainly not least, the 2025 Montana’s Brier will be held at Prospera Place in Kelowna from February 28th to March 9th. We encourage you to get your tickets if you haven’t already and also support the event’s 50/50 online: rafflebox.ca/raffle/curl-bc-brier-mar9.
Best of luck to all member facilities hosting events this month as well. It will be very busy, but promises to be very enjoyable time for all concerned. Have a great month of curling.
