The 2024/25 HP Program aims to involve coaches of our BC HP teams at all levels. This presents an exciting opportunity for new growth and development across our province, in alignment with Curling Canada’s updated technical model. 

 

The HP program will provide mentorship and collaboration opportunities between Provincial HP coaches and our team coaches. This aims to help better prepare our teams to represent BC on the national and international stage. 

 

All coaches are required to have a minimum standard of Competition Coach Certification, and all coaches are required to complete Safe Sport. 

 

Coaches of our Train to Excel athletes will be invited to a zoom call on May 5, 2024 to discuss updates to our 24/25 HP program, receive information on our regional training centers and how you and your athletes can access HP technical equipment to enhance your training. Coaches will also receive access to updated google drive resources and will have access to HP mentor coaches to discuss training programming, technical analysis, season planning and how to overall best support our HP athletes. Learn to Excel, Train to Compete and Learn to Compete coaches will be invited to a zoom call on May 5, 2024.
