Curling Centre Ice Technician Pathway
Designed to teach ice technician assistants and member facility volunteers the basics of ice maintenance. This course is ideal for community volunteers, member facility staff, board members, coaches, program coordinators, and athletes.
This is replacing the previous “Level 1” course, and is approximately 8 hours in length.
Course topics covered include:
- Safety
- Opening Procedures
- Scraping
- Pebbling
- Nipping
- Cleaning
- Temperature Monitoring
- Closing Procedures
- Draw Change Procedures
Pre-Requisites:
- There are no pre-requisites for individuals taking this course
Fees (per person):
- Curl BC Member $125.00+GST
- Non-Curl BC Member $150.00 + GST
