Ranking Lists

Curl BC currently utilizes two different ranking systems. These include the Canadian Team Ranking System and the Curl BC Ranking System.

Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS)
The CTRS is maintained by the Canadian Curling Association.

Men’s & Women’s Provincial Championship Berth Standings
The tenth team in each the Men’s & Women’s BC Championships will qualify based on CTRS points earned between December 1, 2008 and December 1, 2009, including all earned points from CTRS events that are still in progress on the December 1st weekend if applicable.

To qualify, a team must be ranked in the top 50 teams on the CCA’s current year’s CTRS ranking. Points collected in the previous season (Dec 1, 2008 – April 30, 2009) are only valid if three or more team members return. If no eligible BC Team is ranked in the top 50 of the current year’s CCA CTRS listing, the Provincial Championship will be a 9-team round robin event.
