Final five head to BC men’s curling championship

The final five teams have qualified for the 2013 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men’s Curling Championship.

An open qualification event held at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge from January 4 to 6 saw 17 teams battle for the five remaining spots at the provincial championship in Parksville.

The teams who qualified were Team Dangerfield, from Victoria Curling Centre, Team Joanisse, from Abbotsford Curling Club, Team Yamada, from Kamloops Curling Club, Team Brower, from Peace Arch Curling Club, and Team Bilesky, from Royal City Curling Club.

The teams will be part of the championship which gets underway at Parksville Curling Club on February 5. The semi-finals and finals will be broadcast on Shaw on Saturday, February 9, and Sunday, February 10.
