Community Sport Hero awards come to Vancouver

You can honour a local hero who has made a significant contribution to curling in your community.

Sport BC is accepting nominations for their Community Sport Hero awards for the Vancouver area for 2012.

The deadline for nominations is November 2.

The person you nominate must:

• Be from Vancouver and make a voluntary contribution to sport through coaching, officiating, boards,  administration, special events, etc
• Be an individual (not an organization or foundation); and
• Have been or continue to be a dedicated sport volunteer for a minimum of eight years.
