Curling survey will help guide services and programs
A new curling survey has been launched to help Curl BC members plan for the future.
Curl BC facilities are asked to take 10 to 15 minutes to complete the online form. The manager, president or a selected volunteer from a curling centre should fill out the form. Only one person per centre needs to do it.
Here is the link to the first survey: http://surveys.ccmis.ca/s3/Canadian-Curling-Association-2012-Compensation-Review
The survey, created by the Canadian Curling Association, will be broken down to five different mini-surveys over the course of the season. There will be one per month starting in October, and this will continue every year.
The idea is to find out the best practices when it comes to:
- wages & compensation,
- building & property,
- and policies.
This will allow the CCA, Curl BC and other provincial and territorial associations and member curling rinks to access information to build better programs and support more accurate information such as the average manager’s salaries in specific regions. Individual club information will never be shared; only the aggregate, national and/or regional information. The information will also be stored on secure servers.
The operation of the survey will be handled by Canadian Club Management Information Systems http://www.ccmis.ca/. They compile similar information for the golf industry and are experienced in this area.
