Funding Opportunity: Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund

The Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF) is a new, two year national program that will invest $150 million into improving existing community infrastructure across Canada. Western Economic Diversification will invest over $46 million under CIIF into Western Canada. Not-profit organizations are eligible to apply for funding to improvement of existing community infrastructure, including community centres and recreational facilities.

In order to be eligible to apply at least 50% of the total eligible project costs must come from other sources than the federal government and all work must be completed prior to March 31, 2014.

Applicants seeking less than $250,000 in funding from CIIF will receive priority.

The application deadline is August 2, 2012*

*There will be a second intake period in November if funding is available
