Coaches Week starts Sept. 18th
From September 18th – 25th the Coaching Association of BC will be hosting its 4th annual “BC Coaches Week” in locations across the province.
To kick off the week, the Coaches Association of BC will be hosting a one day coaching conference in Vancouver at SFU Harbour Centre on Saturday, September 18th. This conference is being offered in conjunction with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) and will bring together some of BC’s, and Canada’s, top sport psychologists to present 5 unique sessions.

Dr. Karen McNeill
Dr. Saul Miller
Dr. Anne Muscat
Dr. John Hogg
The topics that will be presented include:
• Elite Mental Fitness for Performance (Keynote address)
• Peaking for Competition: Maximizing Mental Performance When it Counts
• Dealing with Distractions and Setbacks
• Using Imagery to Enhance Performance
• Psychology of Quality Training
• Emotional Management for Performance
Included as part of this conference CABC will be hosting an Olympic panel with 2 of Canada’s top Winter Olympic coaches and athletes to speak about their experiences leading up to, and at, the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
The cost for the entire day is only $35.00. This is a great opportunity for any of your coaches who are interested in developing their coaching skills to hear from some of the best in their field. Seating is limited.
Lunch is also included in the registration fee.

Other evening forums are planned in Nanaimo, Kamloops, Penticton, and a one day session in Prince George, from September 20th – 25th. Each of these events will be free to all coaches.
