Curlers lose good friends
March 5th, 2010
Curl BC would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of two curling volunteers who have both recently past away.
Al Forsythe, Past President of the CCA during the 2007-08 season had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and his condition deteriorated very quickly these last few days. Al had hoped to attend the Brier in Halifax this weekend and would have loved to meet up with many of his curling friends – sadly, it wasn’t to be.
Dr. Douglas Edgar Watson also passed away earlier this year at age 64. Dr. Watson was a long time curler, Honorary Member, Past President and Builder of the Juan de Fuca Curling Club.
